The first project Satyaa has embarked on, is the setting up and running of a basic educational afternoon school in Jalukbari, Guwahati, Assam within the Orphanage Assam Sishu Kalyan Sadan. The main aim of this school is to support the younger children of this school with basic education.

The School was set up in February 2005 and currently has 30 children (8 boys and 22 girls) from the ages of 3 to 19 years and 6 teachers. Satyaa supports the 6 teachers as well as the 30 children and their other basic material needs.
